Tattoo removal at C6
We believe having a solid conversancy background is best for patients undergoing the tattoo removal process. Tattoo Removal Procedure who can get a tattoo removed? All skin tones and types may be treated by the C6. However, not everyone is a viable candidate for tattoo removal. We don’t recommend tattoo removal for pregnant or nursing women, anyone with uncontrolled diabetes, or individuals with new tattoos acquired within the last two months. Smokers may require more treatments to achieve a desired effect as smoking can inhibit the effects on the immune system.
During consultation, we measure the size of your tattoo and evaluate color composition. After examining your tattoo, we’ll give you an estimate with recommended treatment sessions to achieve your desired results. Tattoo removal cost depends on tattoo size and number of recommended treatment sessions.
How long does it take to remove a tattoo? Full tattoo removal can often be achieved in 5-12 sessions, spaced out every 10-12 weeks. Most tattoos require several sessions for complete removal. Some patients may be eligible for the C6 tattoo removal method, which removes tattoos in a shorter period of time than traditional laser tattoo removal.
C6 Tattoo Removal Technique
C6 stacks up to four treatments into one session, removing and lightening tattoos in a shorter period of time than traditional laser tattoo removal. A few C6 sessions are still required to remove the tattoo to the patient’s liking, but the process is significantly faster than traditional laser tattoo removal.
Individual Treatment Sessions
Individual treatment sessions, from walking in to exiting, last about 20-30 minutes. Patients wear protective eyewear during the procedure. Tattoo removal is typically associated with some discomfort. C6 uses a variety of techniques to minimize discomfort. Patients may elect to apply topical anesthetic cream 20-25 minutes prior to a session. The first time this is used, we’ll supervise the application. Patients may apply topical cream themselves before subsequent visits.
Before a Tattoo Removal Session
Two days prior to treatment sessions, patients should eat well and get plenty of rest. Your immune system is an integral part of the tattoo removal process and should function optimally, or the tattoo removal process may be slowed. Patients should not deliberately tan during this preparation time. Minimizing sunlight exposure and using high-quality sunscreen during the tattoo removal process is recommended.
Proper care of the treated area helps to prevent infection. The treated area should be gently cleansed with soap, followed by an application of a water-based antibiotic ointment.
